Combining a sharp, gravure-etched outline with freehand painted ink application, Scattered Ink is a study in the restrained and the free. Where one layer is exact, another is open, creating a beautifully understated all-over print.
The interplay between precision and spontaneity lies at the heart of the design. Delicate painted marks drift across the structured framework, creating moments of texture, movement, and quiet imperfection. Layered through analogue printing techniques, the surface retains the character of its making, where every brushstroke and etched line contributes to a composition that feels both balanced and expressive. Refined in scale and subtle in effect, Scattered Ink provides an elegant interpretation of geometric pattern, softened through the presence of the hand.

Cole & Son’s non-woven wallpapers are sponge wipeable with a soft damp cloth and no agent or detergent. We do not recommend attempting to wipe our silk, grasscloth or flock wallpapers.

UK Shipping:
There are three delivery options to choose from at the checkout:
1. Express Delivery – Your order will be delivered the next working day if placed before 2pm Monday-Thursday
2. Standard Delivery – Your order will be delivered in 2-3 working days via one of our courier partners
3. Select London Postcodes Same Day Diamond Service Delivery – Your order will be delivered the same working day if placed before 4pm Monday-Friday. Please see FAQ > Diamond Service for more details.
International Shipping:
Express Delivery – Your order will be delivered with all duties and taxes paid within 1-3 working days, depending where you are in the world.
Samples:
Wallpaper & fabric samples can be purchased nationwide as well as internationally.
Returns:
Goods can only be accepted for return by prior agreement with Cole & Son and must be returned within 14 days of order date. All rolls must be returned in a saleable condition, without damage. We cannot accept returns of cut fabrics or samples.
