Jubilee Place Salon: Creativity Meets Commerce
The second of Cole & Son’s Jubilee Place Salons welcomed esteemed guests and speakers to discuss where creativity meets commerce. Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin Lagonda; Alexandra Llewellyn, CEO of the luxury board games brand Alexandra Llewellyn; and Marie Karlsson, Creative and Managing Director at Cole & Son were lead in their discussion by former Culture Minister, Ed (Lord) Vaizey.

The panel detailed how they each approach the creative process and how the balance between embracing creativity and driving business growth is maintained.
“We want to go where others don't in the interior industry. We want to start our authentic journey from the raw paper and the canvas we paint on… it needs to start by the hand in our design house. That's what defines us.”

Bespoke commissions were also an important aspect of channeling creativity, with the customer at the forefront of the entire process. Marek Reichman further explained that it is the business's role to guide the client in their decisions and ensure that they are inspired, with Marie Karlsson adding that it is also vital that the luxury brand maintains their integrity, ensuring that the client does not just want a copy of another brand's work, but instead something that is unique to them.

The evening was complemented by glasses of Champagne Bollinger, the event’s partner.
