The Fall/Winter 2024 collection by Cole & Son Design House, portraits Shinrin Yoku known as ‘Forest Bathing,’ a Japanese practice of connecting with nature.

Shinrin Yoku invites balance, bliss and beauty to your home and a new movement to the world of interior design – alongside the well-known concept Ikigai. Twelve new hand-painted designs create an oasis of serenity with Bonsai Gardens to traditional chinoiseries, meditation patterns, floral landscapes that intertwine with kimono embroidery to fashion of our time. The collection features across natural materials including paperweave, grasscloth, natural silk and fibrous non-woven that mirrors the theme of the collection.
The art of Shinrin Yoku has inspired the design house by visiting the most extraordinary gardens and forests of Japan. The designs are painted with Japanese traditional watercolours and using calligraphy
